Scary August

My mom was diagnose with colon cancer on January 1, 2007. She has been battling the cancer until now. She took the chemo treatment and she was doing fine. In the last couple of months she was getting a sharp pain in her belly. The pain would not go away. I finally convince her to go to the ER. I thought the pain in her belly was infection in the colon and that a couple of meds will resolve the issue. Instead, a simple issue of pain became numerous tumors in her bowels. Now, I was face with decision on whether to put my mom through 6-8 hours of surgery . Doctors could not guarantee they could get all the tumors and they said she would probably not survive it. The other options was to put a tube in her to drain the bowels and continue chemo to have her live longer life.

Mom is doing a little better but she still in a lot pain after surgery. The doctors said it will be a very long time before she can eat food.

I create this blog to help me and other dicuss their fears, write poems, words of encouragments, prayers, food for the healing, and etc.
